Q: Why did you switch to hydroponic? 

A: For 20 years, I researched hydroponic and I believe that it is our safest way to grow food.

 

Q: How are you able to grow all year long? 

A: With hydroponics, we grow using water temperature not soil temperature.

 

Q: Is there anything that you can’t grow using hydroponics? 

A: The only thing that we haven’t grown is tree fruits.

 

Q: How much water do you use daily? 

A: On one-half acre, we use less than a family of four.

 

Q: What do you do during a freeze? 

A: We cover the strawberries and vegetables with a frost blanket. 

 

Q: How long is your berry season? 

A: We grow all year long.

 

Q: Do you use pesticides or insecticides? 

A: No, we use IPM or integrated pest management (bug wars:  we use good bugs to fight the bad bugs).
